Problem with multiple CDs ...?

Post by StarryNight »

I recently got my hands on the game Harvester through torrents
I've been able to play just fine, but I cannot figure out how to get the second Cd working. I use Daemon tools to mount the images. (They're in .iso files) and can get the first Cd up and running, no problems. However, I'm not sure how to continue after that. The Harvest.exe is only in the first disk. i'm sorry if this seems garbled
Thanks

Yes, I'm using DosBox. Sorry i didn't mention that sooner.
I was fiddling around last night and have been attempting to mount all 3 disks as iso files, like so:
imgmount c "\oldgames\d1harvester.iso" "\oldgames\d2harvester.iso" "\oldgames\d3harvester.iso" -t iso
it mounts fine but when i type: harvest.exe the game seems to start, but quickly switches back to DosBox with this messgae:
Error! {id:04c5} - could not read abm_filename: 1:\graphic\other\wait.abm"
Usually when I got this, I merely had to re-install the game though DosBox.
But now I can't do this b/c when I try to install the game to C:Harvest (the default directory) it says: Invalid Directory.

imgmount c "\oldgames\d1harvester.iso" "\oldgames\d2harvester.iso" "\oldgames\d3harvester.iso" -t iso
should be something as:
imgmount d "c:\oldgames\d1harvester.iso c:\oldgames\d2harvester.iso c:\oldgames\d3harvester.iso" -t iso
You mount the images as D not as C. Mind the " " and correct FULL path.

And you mount a virtual C
You install the game from D on C in dosbox.

Read the stickies please.

Thanks for your help.
I've read the stickies, I'm just not so great at interpreting them I guess.
Harvester still won't run, but I'll keep fiddling around with it.
Thanks again!
