It's a third person shooter game. You play as a blue alien-like man (almost like avatar). The story took place when your ship gets shot down and you escape through a pod along with your other comrades.
Another thing I remember is that when one of your friend dies, they don't die right away, they get transferred to their own "chip". Each of them has a chip in which you can use to upgrade your equipments.
I think I remember playing it on my old PS2.
