2D screen by screen platform game

Here are the things that I remember (sure to unsure):
- I played it when i was young (before 2010) on pc
- The player is a small yellow doted character (like in torybash but in 2D)
- The player is able to shoot
- I also remember that there were a boss like a "red flying face" that bounce on
walls over a blue background
- I remember that the main color is purplish
- They were some puzzle to open gate (not sure)
- Very not sure, but I guess that we were able to shoot
