Good day,
I'm looking for the Windows game my mother used to play a lot on Windows. It was space-themed block breaking game with block styled as colored diamonds. Your goal was to lauch the ball from the platform and prevent it from falling away as it bounced back from the block. Breaking the block also activated some bonuses like magnet or enlarging, but also some disadvantages from time to time, like instant loss of a life. You had 3 lives in the beginning and the game had 50 levels if I remember correctly. Does anyone know the name of this game?
Best regards
Matthew

UPD: I did some more search and here's a game that kind of matches your description:

Googling "breakout game with diamonds" gives info about a Mac game called Diamonds, which however has been unofficially ported to PC:
https://mblaine.github.io/Diamonds/
I doubt that this is your game though, but the only thing I can suggest is to look in the list of Breakout variants:
https://www.mobygames.com/game-group/br ... t,0/so,1a/
I sorted it by year (sorting by platform sadly not possible because there are games with more than one platform), so if you can give an approximate year when it came out that would narrow down the search.
Note though that this is an extremely popular genre and seems like a good practice for programmers, so I think it would not be an exaggeration to say that the MobyGames list I linked to is missing a lot of other titles in this genre. If your game is not there, try to remember other details like where the game came from -- was it bought on a CD, or downloaded from the Internet? bundled with some other software perhaps? Such details might help get an additional clue to pin it down.
