QuickBasic RPG set in a high school

Post by inkajoo »

Hello. This is a game I can't seem to find. It had a title like "___ at ___ High" and the first blank was the word rampage or massacre or something like that. You'd fight deranged schoolchidren and teachers and the final boss was the crazed janitor in the boiler room and I remember that part being REALLY unsettling in a Silent Hill kind of way despite the terrible graphics. The graphics were slowly drawn on-the-fly with lines and circles. It was by all accounts NOT good, but I really want to play it again.

BTW I know it was in QuickBasic because I had the source code.

I took a look around a few QB game sites, and the only game I can find that's close is called "Ambush At South Range II" and is available here:

I tried running it in QBasic but it seems to crash (even after editing the CHDIR line) so, best of luck getting it running if this is the game you're looking for!

That's it! It's probably not running in QBasic because it was written for QuickBasic 4.5 :)

Ah, of course. I actually used QB4.5 quite a bit back in the day. I'm glad that it was the right game
