It was similar to FF. I don't remember if it was Playstation or Xbox but I played it in the early 2000's.
The only specific I can remember is they would come across dead ends on the trail and they would have to ride on dandelion flowers to get to the next part of the trail.
You had to wait for the wind to be in the right direction to make the hop to the section you wanted.
