Adventure game from mid to late 90s

I'm searching for a game I played on PC(likely Windows) in the mid to late 90s. You played a character who was searching for something or someone (maybe a princess?) so he walked around talking to people in a village on an island. I remember the word "tunics" was used to describe his clothes which he could buy with money he found around the village. He was also able to beat up kids he spoke to at some point. The island became stormy at times and there was a part towards the end where he crosses a bridge to a cave and I think there were some big spiders he had to fight. I believe the graphics were pretty basic, people were basically oval bodies and oval heads with not a ton of detail. That's really all I remember but I've been thinking about this game for years and would love to see if it's available on other platforms that I could play now. Thank you for your help!!
