Alien adventure game

Hello dosgames community,
I'm looking for a "newer" games name (I think around 1999-2003).
It's a game similar to Tonic Trouble and Rayman (graphics wise and gameplay wise) but you're an alien whos space ship got destroyed and you're now stranded on a foreign planet. I think the objective was to collect all the ship parts. You also have an antenna on your head or a kind of pistol and can shoot beams with that (not sure if it was the pistol or the antenna).
If i recall correctly the planet has some carnivorous plants that can harm you. The gameplay is basically almost identical to tonic trouble and rayman. A world filled with mobs who try to stop you.

I have played the game around 2004 or 2005 on a Windows XP machine.

Do you have an idea what game that could be?

Rayman is a side-scrolling 2D platform game, and Tonic Trouble appears to be a 3D behind-view game. Which one was yours?

Sorry I meant Rayman 2 The Great Escape from 1999. Its a 3D behind-view game like tonic trouble...

Ahh, I'm pretty sure I'm looking for the same game. It had a little bit of cartoonish feeling, I remember a lot of green, purple and yellow colors in the scenery.
Also, in the opening cutscene the Alien is playing Space Invaders-like game in his spaceship, which had some human heads instead of enemy ships. Then he crashes on the foreign planet.

And I'm 100% sure I've played it on Windows 98.
