Need help to find an older zombie game with metal dog as boss i think

Ok so i remember i played a game long time ago it was a zombie shooter first person and you had mele weapons you had firearms you could dismember zombies dunno about all body parts but i remember you could shoot them in the head or hit them with i think crowbar and half of their head would fall off. I remember it was a city and it was night but most importantly i remember there was a dog a big dog in metal armor or it was just a big metal dog it was probably first boss since it was really hard for me to kill it. i remember the main character, he was dressed in black clothing with a longer hair i think, name of the game was written in red letters and main character holding a gun in hand was cover art i think. It was long time ago and cannot remember many more details but i know that dog scared me a lot and i wanna try again now that im older and know stuff about games.
