I'm with Larry on this one, the originals are better than the remakes they are doing now. I believe Tobe Hooper (Director of "Poltergeist Trilogy") directed the first one, not sure on who directed 2 - 4, and Texas Chainsaw Massacre: New Generation.
Tobe Hooper had little or no say in the remakes!
It's just like Halloween, Friday the 13th and A Nightmare On Elm St...the first few were good, but then they became household franchises...actually if you wanna know something:

All three originals 3 different stars in them, who most of us know!!

1. ----- --- ------ (Halloween) [Survives In Movie]
2. ---- ---- (Friday the 13th) [Dies In Movie - Pierced Through The Chest]
3. ------ ---- (A Nightmare On Elm St) [Dies In Movie - Sucked Into Bed]

I wonder who knows and who doesn't...
Anyways before you Guess, they are Jamie Lee Curtis, Kevin Bacon and Johnny Depp.

One time I had a Jack and coke and it had a lime in it, And I saw that the lime was floating. That's good news man. Next time I'm on a boat and it capsizes, I'll reach for a lime... I'll be water skiing without a life preserver and people'll say 'What the hell?' and I'll pull out a lime...and a lemon too. I'm saved by the buoyancy of citrus.
