Since the dawn of video gaming that only about 8 films, winners of the Oscar for Best Picture, got a proper virtual version.
This week we'll be taking a glimpse to those 5 movies and their video game counterparts.

I picked the obvious one, The LORD of the Ring.

Once again, everything surpasses my programming.

I am relegated to being a humble host of Jesus and Mary

Bugbear Entertainment, best known for its Flatout car racing franchise, started its successful career in video game development in March 2000. Nowadays the finnish company is working on the "Next Car Game" that will be available soon.. I hope!
This week's review is to the very first title that came from Bugbear's studios: Rally Trophy!

God, Jesus, and Mary (mother of God)

Honour to my dad Nguyen Binh Thuy and my mom Huong Thi Vu.

Well, my parents always want me to be kind.

So I went back and played the whole thing.

Thank you God, Jesus, and Mary (mother of God) you did a good job#!!

The productions are entertaining and well put together.

How did you become so good at making videos like these?

In this episode above, I really like the covering of mini-Office and Rally.

Thank you for another good work.

It looks like you work hard and it shows? hehe

Thanks for your kind comments ;)
I really put a great deal of work onto making these videos. Researching and producing takes a lot of time, but it's something I really enjoy doing ;)

Regards! :)

Do you have any particular tools you recommend? What's the process to go from webcam & emulator screenshots to final video? Anything worth sharing? :)

I don't use a webcam. I have a Panasonic Lumix camera that makes some nice videos :) As for capturing gameplay footage, I use Nvidia's Shadowplay that is automatically available when you install the drivers for your Nvidia graphics card. Then I use Adobe Premiere to compile all those bits ;)

Targa, aka Rendering Ranger: R2, is simply one of the greatest hidden gems on video gaming history and one of the best Super Nintendo titles I've ever played! It's a mix of side-scrolling run’n’gun action and shmup highly inspired by Turrican and R-Type:

Targa? Wow, this reminds me a lot of NFS Porsche Unleashed as my favourite car from that game is Porsche 911 Carrera 2 Targa (964).

Thanks so much for old memories bringing back....

Very cool, thanks for describing the setup! Interesting; I'm still playing with webcam to get good video setup, I briefly tried my camera and it was very different, but I assumed the hassle would make the webcam a better choice. Maybe I'll have to revisit that. :)

The A600 is the perfect solution for everyone that just wants to use the Amiga as a kind of a games console. And, with this Gotek Floppy Emulator, you can achieve just that!

That rocks! I've got one of those floppy emulators working on a dos machine, but never thought about using it like this. Nice.

(All hail music and sewing machines that took floppies - amazing that those drove the invention of usb floppy emulators, but yay! The emulators got a lot cheaper, too. USD$20 on ebay, used to be like $150 when I got my first one!)

The Gotek emulator is such a great alternative in a time that brand new floppy disks are so hard to find.. ;) Thanks for your comments! :)
