Animation featuring Mario

Post by Jorrit »

Yesterday I received a new animation from Steve Chris.

It's called 'Being Super Mario for a Week':

I still can't thank you enough for posting that Dave animation in the cool forum. When John Romero himself compliments my Dave GIF after visiting your forum, I feel very excited to make more and more! I keep receiving personal messages, emails, comments from people to make more, so I am forced to make more!

I am also working on a continuation of that Dave GIF, called 'The Day Dave came out to Play' and that'll be sent by tomorrow...Plus PLENTY more I'm working on right now!

once again, very well done. I actually like this one more than the Dave one. Perhaps you should get into Flash animation.

Macromedia Flash is expensive ... the Macromedia website lists Flash MX 2004 as $499! :wow: The upgrade is $199 ...

http://www.macromedia.com/software/flas ... ash_082403

You may be able to find it cheaper on eBay (or maybe an older version like Flash 5 that would work almost as well). Or there is also the "educational discount" ... if you or someone you know who's willing to buy the software for you either is going to college/university or works as a teacher at a school/college/university:

http://www.macromedia.com/resources/edu ... ments.html

Although it seems like its technically against the rules, if you can find a reseller thats willing to do it, it seems like many resellers will give you the educational prices as long as you can prove (student ID, etc) that you're in high school:

http://www.macromedia.com/buy/reseller_edu.html

For example, CampusTech's requirements:

They sell full version Flash MX for $139:

Howz mah new GIF y'all

Post by Santhosh CHRiS »

Howdy y'all,

Thanx once again for all your kind time and support. I wuz actually kinda afraid of asking Jorit ta post my work again but he's one sweet dude... He actually APPRECIATED me for it. I bet a lot of you wanna see my work done in Flash, so Flash it is from now on. Only since I live in India and can't really afford 500 American bucks for it, I guess I'll do it int the uh...TRIAL version!

I think most of you guys may find this one a lot better than the Dave GIF.
(a bit more sentimental even)

Please send me your ideas to my email address [email protected]

a few more movies ta look forward to

'The Day Dave came out to Play' (full version GIF) trust me it's AWESOME!

'Cheaters never lose...but don't REALLY win either do they?"(done in Flash hopefu4lly)

buh bye now...

Why would anyone want to buy Flash MX when you can get a trial version from a PC Magazine!!

You must be aware, though, that if you get caught pirating something that valuable you're looking at a *BIG* fine ($2,000 or more) and even potential jail time should the judge be in a really bad mood. At the rate I get paid it would take me a month to make enough money to buy Flash, but that would sure as hell beat spending that month behind bars.

That's where your wrong. Here in Kanada, it's legal to fileshare under the circumstance that you do not upload. We can download all the software we wish.

For music, maybe. But for $500 software packs? IIRC, Warez is still illegal there. If not I cannot only imagine how many e-mails the ESA has sent spamming up Paul Martin's server...
