DOS Games Archive Site Update December 2016

Post by MrFlibble »

The DOS Games Archive now offers the option to browse Windows compatible games from the site's collection. These include:

a) Games with an official native Windows version, including enhanced re-releases like Another World. For such titles, a Windows download is provided if available.

b) Open source games with source ports created by third parties. Links to known/recommended source ports are included in the links section on the respective games' pages.

c) Games that may be played natively in Windows via third-party engine recreations. Links to such programmes are provided in the links section.

In each case, a note about available Windows versions is placed in the Instruction/comment field on a game's page.

Hopefully this option will increase availability of certain titles to a wider userbase.
