I think I'm okay, I tore a lot of skin off of my right elbow, jammed my shoulder pretty bad, bruised my ass where I got hit, and cut up my left hand, but my head's alright. I think I might have cracked a couple ribs, though, which is why I'm going to the doctor. I hope they're just bruised. My dad cracked his ribs and they take forever to heal, which isn't something I'm looking forward to.

I was riding my bike home from work along the side of the road (no sidewalks, but there's a fairly wide paved section on the side of the road for walkers, bikers, and people who need to pull over for police/car trouble) when somebody in an SUV swerved (probably to avoid a squirrel ) and nailed me with the side of their car. I flew about 3 or 4 feet and landed on my right side, and thankfully managed to get my elbow up so I didn't smash my face.

The other guy/girl is fine, as far as I know... after they saw me lying bloody on the side of the road, they drove off. Bastard. I hope I dinged up their ride, anyway... but no bridge collapses.

My bike's a lot more wobbly, now, but it got me home. Hopefully, everything is fine with my body.

Sounds painfull ..... I really hope those ribs aren't broken, it's indeed a bad thing if they are. Had some two broken ribs when I was 30 .... cuts off your breath for a couple of months, literally.

Unfortunately, my birth certificate is in DC. And I'm going back to DC this Sunday. It's not looking too good.

Why don't you heal up?

I got this healing potion, Doggy. You might want to chug it down!
