I found an interview with a couple of the managers of the company producing this game and others; "Gävle Datapedagogiska Centrum". This was a publicly funded enterprise, developing eductional software in the beginning of the PC era and before, using ABC 80/800 and Compis computers. The gam...

There was a sokoban-type game for Macintosh in 1995 called 'Blobbo', with a free version called 'Blobbo Lite' - probably too complex, what I see from the pictures. (It does not work in Windows or OS/X, what I read) Maybe more Mac-oriented sites have something better to suggest? http://www.pure-mac.c...

How about 'The Incredible Machine'? This has many puzzles, timing, explosions and an editor to make your own maps. Macintosh was one of the platforms it was made for, though I played it on DOS. (One of the few puzzle games I liked, actually)

The one exclusively exploratory game I can think of would be 'Noctis', though I'm not so sure about the cylindrical shaped ships. (more circular perhaps, but also some images show it more box-like) Some screenshots of it are at mobygames, mainly exteriors seen through ships monitors, but there are a...

I guess you need to mount the CD image as a drive in Dosbox; probably D: would be best, sometimes old games assume C: and D: are the harddrives and CD respectively.

Main and setup...umm, are you using plain DosBox or a GUI wrapper?

I recall watching Zaxxon playing itself was fun for awhile, but I can't say I looked for these things, so I can't fill a top ten list. Maybe I'll add some more if I remember them.

Not my type of game, but the predecessor 'Bejeweled' might be similar to what you played? Mobygames says it's first release was in 2000, and it was available for Mac. Don't know about spikes/clouds, but there are some screenshots that show some objects and level patterns. http://www.mobygames.com/ga...

Well, I guess some companies specialice in these games, so you could perhaps hunt for those kind of developers & publishers. Pan Vision is one such company, who has aquired several older companies, perhaps it's possible to track down their product lists from period advertising. https://sv.wikipe...

There is a free RPG called Dragon Court which still seems to be alive, maybe that's the one? It was mentioned at the MPOGD site in -98 (archive.org) and what images I've seen look similar to what you describe, it was made in Java and was played in a browser. Guilds were available, but otherwise it w...
