Long shot, but you might look through lists of commodore pet games, and other 8bit computers. Many dos games back then were ports or inspired by them. That green could be the monochrome monitor instead of the game, or imitating one.

Caverns of Zoarre, Telengard / DnD, Caves of Thor, Castle Adventure, Apshai, Phantasie, Atari Adventure

Amiga and maybe C64 computers also match that description if you don't know what the computer was. Even later zx spectrums and other 8bit comps, too.
