I agree, it seems more or less to make awareness of, not to seriously do something with in that one hour alone. I just used a battery operated lantern. (By the way, that Brooklyn Lantern on As Seen On TV is crap compared to how they describe it, but with most things shown on TV is anyway... Eggies.....

Well let me first start off by playing Devil's Advocate and ask if you read the rules before posting. We need more information on the year played or better yet not just played, but when the game first came out. (Saying you played a game yesterday for the first time and it was about a guy in ...

To me and as someone else said, it sounds like Buster Bros, minus the screaming at the end by the characters themselves, although I do recall a voice in the background speaking on various occasions. It was a two player arcade game ported to the home consoles including the PS1 called Buster Bros Coll...

Earth Hour (Lights Off)

Did any one else observe Earth Hour? Apparently from 8:30pm-9:30pm local time, (I actually did it until 10pm.) you shut off all lights and do not use any electricity. (Presumably meaning not to include what leaches into your power cords and not having to drag out your stove and refrigerator to unplu...

I know I had said this some where else as well, but the N64 game (A completely different game by the way.) was alright. It was a little slow at the start and the graphics were a bit dark and muddy/grainy, although much improved over the original and was 3D roaming. It was called Shadowgate 64: Trial...

Ehhh... my brain is a bit fried right now... still trying to reply to the religion thread from a month or so... :upset:

Let either someone else who speaks up first get it or maybe a new person. There was one trying to post a pic, but I do not know. :blah:

Magazine: probaby Retro Gamer? Wiki of their rocky history . I loved that magazine. A friend would import them and we'd share. And there certainly are crap old games worth forgetting! I wonder if there's something about our brain's development from late childhood into teens and early twenties that ...

Shadowgate? But I do not remember you ever being taunted (Of course I never really got that far...) Although I do know torches are very important in Shadowgate.

No idea... :blah: I will wait for another clue. And yes War I did notice a similarity and not just because it was 8-bit/midi (Or what ever it is called.) either. But then again I think I had heard other similar games with the same tunes as well. I checked to see the composer of the two games and the...

These words are very beautiful and wonderful, yes we talk about a golden era for games and old systems, I have rich feelings for that era, I tried to find if I'm alone in this age 2015 or there's another persons like me and have that feelings for that golden era, my dear "DOS Wolf" your w...

Well I can not really speak much on DOS itself. But I consider DOS gamers the same kind of breed as a console retro-gamer and that is what I am. The appeal of playing something you had as a child brings a warm kind of nostalgia. For me at least, I can remember the first time I played each and every ...

Umm...not having played any NES games, the clues seem to point to 'The Guardian Legend'. Oh I am so sorry... the correct answer is... What is "The Legend Guadrian"... :suspicious: No you are correct... I mean I had no other clues to give, I had to spell it out... Your turn. :) But...

No, but very close. Clue 4: It was a "Legend" ahead of it's time... I liked Blaster Master, especially the first level or two. But then I kind of got stuck in the later levels and it was harder to drive and jump the several platforms and kept bumping the hood of my vehicle and it seemed ha...

Clue 3: No internal battery for game saving and passwords are a biatch! No pun intended... However on the upside of having passwords are that if you can figure out or by now since these games are so old, find them in books or online, you can cheat and or at least uber your character and change it's...

Clue 2: Was a hybrid game- a mixture of Zelda, Metroid and Darius all rolled into one... and a very over looked game in my opinion.

Are you sure? I think it was Billy and Jimmy... Oh, it is, but it didn't stop the translation team from screwing it up at least once: <img src="http://i.imgur.com/qpK6PzS.png"> Which version or game in the Double Dragon series is that screen shot from? I assume at least one of it's sequel...
