Apparently some global level dimensions are wrong. Maybe you should try taking the original files and editing them again to check if this is something caused by the editor or not.

It is the changes made by the editor. I have an unaltered copy stored on a cd with all the other MSDOS games I have. I was told by 1 person that the file needs to be recompressed but the info I read about Bio Menace said that the files weren't compressed. So how do I fix this?

re: using Ted5 on Bio Menace

I downloaded Ted5 editor to make a few small changes to level 3 ant town level map in Bio Menace 2. Every time I save the level and start the game. The game stops before the main menu and out to the DosBox c: prompt with the error message "RF_NewMap: Map to tall!" Why is this happening? St...

Dosraiser. I made all the changes above for Dosbox The game it self still runs great, no problems. But I still have the same "game_path" problem with the map editor. It doesn't matter what I put in the "game_path" line in the "mapedit.ini" file. The map editor will not ...

re: getting wolf3d map editor to work [Win7]

1st off I am using Dosbox to start the game. Is there a way to make the sound better? It sounds like the sound made by an old internal pc speaker on an old 1980s msdos machine. Is there a patch for that? On to the map editor v8.4. Open the link below to look at the image. The image shows what happen...

I am not using the level editor simply as a cheat engine. I also use it as a learning tool. As I make changes in the levels then play the level I learn how the inter workings of the game work. When I understand it good enuff then I will take a wack at makeing some of my owen maps.
