Maybe it's the Skunny game seen in this video? Unlike the other games, it wasn't made by Copysoft as far as I know, and Skunny is, ahem, nude:

What about Alfred Chicken? It's a side-scroller from the 90s starring a red bird.

Could the first game be The Adventures of MicroMan? It has everything you mentioned in the first post: grey background, a giant magnet and endless pits. Look here:

No matter! :) While we are at it... Zipman 3 (no idea if episodes 1-2 ever were released) The first Zipman (ZIPMAN.ZIP): http://cd.textfiles.com/ugameware/ARCADE/ Reminds me of Dangerous Dave. And the second one (don't ask why the folder's called "HUBBARD"): http://cd.textfiles.com/mmcd/GA...

The link www.apogee1.com that is used at various pages of the site (for games published by Apogee) only leads you to a bunch of ads now, since the page is parked free. Better replace those links with www.3drealms.com .

Ladder Man 3 [...] If episode one and two of this game exist somewhere, they are not readily available.
At least the first Ladder Man of Soleau Software is available at cd.textfiles.com:

No problem, I'm glad that I could help. :)

I remember playing this game ages ago. It's quite fun, but seems to be forgotten, I could only find references to it in file archives like the above. I wonder, is there a Windows counterpart to Dosgames.com? ;)

A butterfly plays a prominent role in the educational game Math Rescue. There is also a similar-looking character in the related game Word Rescue, but it's a worm rather than butterfly. Both games are available at Dosgames.com: http://www.dosgames.com/g_edu.php Sorry, but nothing else comes to my mi...

There is a Snake game called Paulie Python where you have to eat mice - it's a shareware Windows 3.x game rather than a DOS one, though. Anyway, you can get it at the cd.textfiles.com archive:

Sorry for bumping this topic even if it is so old, but the description "rings a bell" for me. Pretty much everything in the guest's posting fits with the German The Game of Robot series (TOM Productions), original game released in 1988: http://img219.imageshack.us/img219/4391/gameofrobot.g...

Commander Keen's Makers

Hello, I've noticed some texts on your site that seem to imply that Apogee developed the Commander Keen games. But as fas as I know, Keen was actually developed by id Software, and Apogee published them. Maybe these passages should be changed? While id Software is mentioned right to Keen 6's title, ...

Okay, I'll not make new posts in this topic until there is something new in it. Actually, I didn't want to know when...
