Sales for the DDR3 are looking pretty good on Newegg right now, so I've opted for 12 gigs after all. $500 for 12 gigs of RAM is pretty sweet, and the motherboard supports up to 24 gigs. Besides, it's probably a good idea to have RAM that's all the same type. Also, the motherboard I picked looks like...

Well, due to the nature of the new CPU, I have the choice of 3, 6, 12, or 24 gigs of RAM. I could go for 12, since the RAM is on sale... I read that 6 gigs is more than enough for anything but I didn't take 64 bit into account.

Rate my $4k dream machine

I've been keeping a close eye on the new CPU's release, and created a setup that utilizes it to its full potential, I hope: http://secure.newegg.com/WishList/PublicWishDetail.aspx?WishListNumber=7725125 Further on down the line I may add more video cards, and the motherboard supports both SLI and Cr...

Heh, yeah, I was just hoping to figure out a way to do a recording of adlib midi outside the game without stuttering. After all, I can see which drivers the game uses since it loads them at startup... can't I use those same drivers with an external but still dos-based player? :P I uploaded the one I...

No problem. :D Oh, and I managed to find the source video and music in the game files and got to see the rest of the animation finally, apparently he never did enter his treehouse. XD He just does a little jig at the end.

All done beating the game, but it still has the same glitch it had 15 years ago, keeping me from getting inside the treehouse. :P Hacking the save files doesn't help at all unfortunately, perhaps the counting mechanism is messed up. I'll have to try hacking the game itself. Here are the videos: Ment...

Okay, found it somewhere for $5, so I went ahead and bought it. Looks like it is a recompilation of the original games, and it's published by Kidsoft, and I *know* dad got stuff from Kidsoft in the past.

We have Zelda and Wario Ware and Trauma Center... all good! :D

Though I still haven't figured out how to be good at Trauma Center, I've never been very good at being accurate and fast at the same time.
