I'm pro-abandonware. I believe that downloading warez isn't morally wrong in certain situations. For example, when I but Office 98 for my Windows 98 system, upgrade to Windows XP, and then decide to get one of those "mandatory updates" for Office 98 (even though it was working correctly on...

Heh. Somehow, I completely missed this topic. I'll go do that, but I'm going to ask that you PM or e-mail me if you want it (except for nastypoisonspikes and Dogbreath). It should take me about two to five minutes to find the sound and remove it. Da_Goat: Someone on the Z2 boards said it would be co...

Da_Goat: It'll never come out. So far, everyone who has tried to make a new version of ZZT hasn't known enough about the inner-workings of ZZT to get it right. Because of that, nothing works right, and they eventually quit. And if you'll notice, the only successful ZZT clones weren't MEANT to work l...

Ehh... Forget about MWZZT. It never caught on, and you'll be wasting your time trying to work it. I don't know why MWZZTAE isn't working for you. It seems to work for me. MWZZT was worthless, but now we're coming upon a means to make real new versions of ZZT. This is an exciting time. I just hope At...

....You can't point and click like ZZT.... You mean you use the mouse in ZZT? Am I the only one here that doesn't use the mouse in ZZT? Yes. You are the only one. You are alone in the world of non-mouse-users. I pity you. Actually, I know very few people who use the mouse at all in ZZT. You can't r...

The only problem with that is gravity is a strong enough force to shatter it into bazillions of tiny pieces. Now THAT'S really breakable glass.

I like Windows XP. It's a lot more stable than the latest previous versions, and dispite what a lot of people claim, I have actually been able to run DOS games better with XP than I could with 98.

I'm not currently set up to read PDF files, and I don't feel like downloading anything for it right now... Anyway, I say that it depends on your definition of solid. Is the term solid used to describe an object whose atoms don't jump around as much as... well... a liquid? Or is the term used to desc...

ZZT Techniques

In ZZT, did you know that you can... • Instantly set the value of a status counter to anything, and also multiply and divide almost instantly? • Teleport an object to a remote place on the board, teleport the player, or place something just about wherever you want on a board? • Move large groups of ...

Not that it's his fault or anything, he should just have a couple, like I did. Then, I get all, and he gets more, etc. Not like I'm complaini...

It was a split decision, but I chose MegaZeux. Honestly, I like ZZT and MegaZeux just as much as the other. ZZT games are made a lot faster and easier, and it forces you to use more imagination and creativity, while MegaZeux provides for more involved games that have a more professional quality to t...
