Is there a way to disable the timer? It's really pissing me off...

Hi guys! I've just managed to get out of 3:On the map above: At the starting point go right,then up and up; make sure you turn on permanently the two switches. Then down and in direction the final switch. Then back the same way and left at the start point. It's pretty simple,though it took me hours....
