Thrustmaster Cougar MFD game controller

Anyone here remember the old Quickshot Masterpilot from 1997? It's a neat little gadget that never caught on, but Thrustmaster created something similar I've just bought this nifty little device two weeks ago and I'm very happy with it, and I thought some people who are interested in unusual control...

I'll need a 3d printer, and if anything one that supports large volumes. Can you explain what that I-PAC does specifically? I'm not an electronics experts by any stretch. Just someone who likes stuff with lotsa buttons and flashing LEDs

Desktop FlightSim Cockpit Ideas

I've been doing some controller shopping to better my flight sim experience, which lead me finding some really cool gadgets, such as the Cougar MFD and a Delux T9U gaming keypad: http://www.avsim.com/pages/1209/SimWare/title.jpg http://mec-s2-p.mlstatic.com/teclado-delux-gaming-dlk-t9u-usb-290311-ME...

Computer Gamer's Survival Guide

Just thought some of you might find this book useful. Covers old Windows and Dos games. From March 1995. Bought it a few weeks back. It can still be found on Amazon http://i1308.photobucket.com/albums/s613/Lzoli18/DSCN9692_1_zpsf4017job.jpg http://i1308.photobucket.com/albums/s613/Lzoli18/DSCN9693_1...

You could try the official strategy guide, if you have the patience to read through it. bought it off ebay a few weeks ago http://i1308.photobucket.com/albums/s613/Lzoli18/IMG_0032_1_zpscgtye1cw.jpg http://i1308.photobucket.com/albums/s613/Lzoli18/th_IMG_0033_1_zpsvmydipez.jpg http://i1308.photobuck...

The Dark Eye

If you like plain old weird-but-clever then you'll love this flawed jewel, and it's not the nostalgia talking . I've discovered The Dark Eye some two or three years ago and the story is absolutely haunting that i still remember it. It was one of the most original, bleak and clever narratives I've ex...

Thanks for your truly honest comments! :) Say are you excited about Doom 4? I'm sort of torn between liking it and thinking it's too generic a sci fi shooter to take seriously anymore... The last 'modern' game I've played was Duke Nukem Forever (which I thought was fun) so i'm sorta out of touch wi...

I haven't heard of any virus that can literally destroy hardware, much less destroy a monitor (which functions independently from your OS). i don't get it... this makes no sense in my brain.

Ah, ok. What I meant is the controls resemble that of a console game. :) The biggest annoyances BY FAR are how you can't have free mouselook and gratuitous strafing... even with the autoaiming feature, it would be nice to have full mouselook plus a crosshair. I always tend to play and rate these gam...

PowerSlave / Exhumed Review

No offense to anyone nostalgic about this game. I remember stumbling on it at a friend's house when a Pentium 2 was cutting edge technology, and sorta liked it. But recently I replayed it and was incredibly frustrated by the awkward, console driven controls :shifty: Really, this game is borderline i...

F-22 Lightning II Review

First time i've played this game. The graphics are pretty jaw-dropping for a 1996 game. I really wished i'd known about it back then. But the flight model is way off, as is common with most Novalogic flight games that tend to play more like super technical action games. My score - 6/10 http:...

Small update. apparently the problem was that the joystick wasn't correctly calibrated in win98, which is why the game got incorrect signals Although this still doesn't explain the game constantly crashing to the desktop (most likely Longbow doesn't recognize the joystick model, being such an old do...
