Indeed scanning old gaming books like these would be great. Just that the process can really bend and damage a perfectly good book - the best quality scans involve hacking the book into pieces to scan each individual page. So the more rare a book is, the less likely it is to be scanned. I live outsi...

Best Games Series - Rare 90s PC Strategy Guides

This is a strategy guide book series from the mid 90s, created by computer games strategy plus. There are four books in the series, and I have 3 of them in almost brand new condition. They're not half bad if you want to get into old gaming, as I currently do these include: The Best Strategy ...

Ah, I think I remember something of that sort. I've seen this gameplay video on a tactical shooter. a webcam mounted on the monitor would follow your face as you moved your head, and this would move the camera in the game. good point...

Hi. Indeed most of the games I'm looking to try are windows. I found this Hotas X joystick online for little money, and its new... at an equivalent of around 55$, whereas on Amazon it costs about 90$. I don't live in the States btw Right. The thing I don't get, really, is how can players look around...

Flight Sim Controller

Hello. I'm looking for a good flight simulator controller. So far I've tried this joystick http://www.oldpcgaming.net/wp-content/uploads/2014/11/thrustmaster_1.jpg But thinking of buying this = http://images7.okr.ro/serve/auctions.v7/2014/dec/26/71f088d4cbef577a49785a80b60d210d-7692586-1000_1000.jpg...

Re: Chasm: The Rift Review

My review of the game http://www.oldpcgaming.net/chasm-the-rift-review/ I didn't realize that it was your site. I'm a bit confused by the fact that you have both links for buying games, and what seem like full version downloads (even if a game is still sold)..? Late reply. Removed the link. I do of...

Thanks wardrich Here's half of the game add plus a few clues to go with it :D Clues: * It's a shooter from around the late 90s * It gained quite a lot of popularity * It had a shotgun for a weapon, among other available guns cheers http://i1308.photobucket.com/albums/s613/Lzoli18/Games/g_1_zps53acde...

Favorite maps were the one where you had to assault the house and could use the sewers if you wanted. It's Estate... one of the first CS maps actually If you wanted a more realistic FPS on the original Half Life, you need look no further than Hostile Intent. True. Hostile Intent and Firearms are so...

Chasm: The Rift Review

At a time when a 3D card would set you back a whopping 150$ at best, running action games that looked decent but didn’t require 3D acceleration seemed like a logical choice. To this end we have Chasm, also known as the ‘Poor Man’s Quake’ for its uncanny resemblance to its source material. Look hard ...

I've had this idea for some time and thought of butting in and giving it a go. The idea is that someone (me, myself in this case) presents half a game magazine add... the eternal question lingering - can you guess the game? When someone guesses the game in question correctly, I could post the full a...

Great find. It made sense to use clay models back then, given the amount of work needed to build a not-so-good-looking 3D model for sprite renders. Always wondered if the Doom art is in a museum or a private collection somewhere. must be worth something
