A nice upgrade, love it:
An older keyboard, Compac, a 'clickety clack' noisy keyboard, no fancy extra shit keys, no tripled function keys, works as a charm and the noise ... the noise man, man, lovely noise.
You can let your fingers rest on those ol'things or slide them over the keys without spawning a whole row of shit in your documents.....
My newer keyboard is dumped, with all the shit extra function keys, the 'low hight' sensor keys, the crap extra row of multimedia/E-Mail/browser/calendar/files/documents/volume/ whatever whatnot surplus shit.

And a (kinda) downgrade, a new monitor, 21" widescreen.
Bye bye the old 23" CRT. SNIFF SNIFF. Modern times, can't avoid them apparently.
Now yeah, power consumption is 1/3 of the old CRT, approx 100W in stead of 300W, and less heat production.
But it is far from as sharp as the old CRT.
Now yeah, was about time I had one, and it's a lovely screen to watch movies full screen.



It's a 5ms LCD Samsung, not really fast, but as I don't play newer games, no problems.

Maybe one of those days I gonna buy a new digicam, that old thing begins to degrade, ohwell .... who cares.

Also, am willing to trade mine for one with fancy extra shit keys, macro keys and backlight.



Note: It's funny the way it's a "DELL QuietKey". Being anything but quiet and all.
