Hi all, im trying to install kknd on my windows xp computer but it locks up on the install when it asks if you want to use univibe as your vesa video. it freezes the window and doesnt let me type y or n to answer. any ideas would be really helpful.

Try running Ken Silverman's nolfb program before installing the game. You can get it here-

I cant run NOLFB on my computer. I also have windows xp. What can i do to run KKND?

Thanks for the tip. I've never heard of DOSbox till now. I was able to insatll it and run it. Different problem now, it runs so slow that it is impossible for me to play it how can i speed it up? THANKS!!!

franpa should have mentioned to do that hold 'Ctrl' and press F12 to increase the CPU cycles, to decrease them simply press F11 instead.

Before you ask what you should increase the cycles to it depends on your computer, so I'm afraid you'll just have to go for trial and error. But for starters I advise kicking it up to around 20,000 cycles.

1) Where do you want to put it on your hard drive? Tell us the full name of the folder you want to install KKND into.

2) What is the drive letter of your CD/DVD drive?
