What do you guys like better? Quake 3 Arena or Unreal Tournament (I'm not talkin' no 2003).
I like Q3A better, but most at this forum seem to like UT more. I just wanted to see if what I thought was correct. |

There was nothing better then playing assault or capture the flag on the original UT. The maps were nicers, the weapons were better, and the colors didnt look as cheasy as Q3a (which I also own but never really played that much).
You should add Tribes 1 to your poll since that games was extremely popular in its day (and very pirated too I hear). Was one of the first team type games that allowed maps to go easily from indoor (quake type) to outdoor environments, also had a nice jump pack for short hops and vehicles for dropping assault troops on the enemy fortress. Was it also the first to have a usable scope/sniper rifle? |

Of course! I love Tribes, better than both of those. I also like Jedi Knight: Dark Forces II, Dark Forces, and Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast. And I like Serious Sam....well, I guess Serious Sam could go there, but not as many people like it...But as for Tribes: It's not anything like UT or Q3A.
Anybody ever hear of Shogo? I like that too.....
Also, on the note about Tribes being pirated a lot: It was kind of hard not to pirate it.....It had no CD Key and you didn't even need the CD after it was installed! They fixed this with Tribes 2, but, unfortunately, IMO, Tribes 2 sucked!. But yea, Tribes kicked some big donkey ass (We're allowed to swear now, aren't we?) |
