Greetings!

i am running on win 7. 64bit.

i used dosbox 64bit.
mounted the game folder to a drive letter. (mount L E:\dgen)
and executed "dgen" command

however "insert disk 1, press 'q' to quit. (file:DATA\RED.LKP)" error comes up

i download dgeneration game from a couple of sources, with the same problem.

if someone manages to get this game to work, do let me know how!

Appreciate any help! Thanks!!

i got the same error with D-Fend reloaded app also..

Links are snipped, against the rules, and we're not pleased

1 -> dosbox 64 bit doesn't exist, care to explain?
2 -> your virtual C mount is completely wrong, read and apply the win7 tutorial. (Is pinned in this sub).

3 -> once you've done with 2 , put your dgen folder in \oldgames\ , run dosbox and input:

cd dgen
dgen

1) my mistake. its the same as dosbox 0.74

2&3) thanks for pointing out what to do.

i tried executing a different dos game and that game works.
but i still am getting the same error for the dgeneration game.
" insert disk 1, press 'q' to quit (file:data\red.LKP) "

i guess that the dgen\data folder is missing the red.LKP file..
so i copied all the files from the folder(dgen\bal) where red.LKP file is and place them in the data folder. the error messages doesnt appear, but all i get is a black screen.

so im kinda stuck .. hope i got get some assistance here Happy

Post your mount lines and inputs please.

Also: delete that dgen folder and start over from scratch.
AlsoČ: what soft do you use to uncompress the downloaded files?

If all fails, I will have to tell you to ask where you downed the game, they should know how to get their stuffs running.
