Post subject: Old wizards game AND santa [=Jetpack Christmas] |
|
|
I'm having a great deal of trouble finding a couple of games. The first one:
I can't remember if it was as old as dos, I think it might have been Windows 95 (or possibly 98, it was a long time ago and I was only small!)
Basically it was a 2d (from the top) game and you had 4 differently colourd wizards (yellow, green, red and blue) starting in 4 corners of a square board. It was a multiplayer game although I think you could play it single player too. I seem to remember the graphics were okay, nicely rendered and smooth(ish) edges.
In classic arcade style you navigated around the board (similar to a pacman style game) and you killed each other. I can't remember how this was done, maybe you picked up power-ups or maybe you just had one weapon. I do seem to remember at the end of each level you had some buying process depending on how many points you've got. Also, we only had a demo I think as I only remember one level.
The second game:
This one is older I think, played on my grandads computer which I think was a BBC. Again it was 2d although this time from the side (mario style). If I remember rightly it played like Jet Set Willy (I thought it was this but you played as Santa!, so maybe it's Jet Pack something?) You jumped around the level avoiding obstacles and I think there were enemies that needed killing.
The big thing I remember was it had a build your own level feature too!
Anyways, I hope this jogs someones memory, I've searched for ages for these games and had no luck
Many thanks in advance

Nah unfortunately not I dont remember it being a side scroller, you could see the whole screen and everything that was going on. It wasn't that colourful either, Santa was literally one shade of red, black boots and white beard and trimmings. He did carry a sack I seem to remember! I know that sounds obvous but it looked odd, like he had a hunchback. |

Nope sadly not that game The one I'm thinking of is probably newer than that, has better graphics (anti-aliasing) and I seem to remember is a much simpler party game.
Keep thinking everyone! |
