it turns out it was a typo afterall. (:
so i got the DOSBox started right.
so i proceeded to do this:
dosbox
-> mount d x:\ -t cdrom <enter>
-> mount c e:\games <enter>
but here the DOSBox said:
Drive C already mounted with local directory c:\users\liv\oldgames
what to do next then? (: |

So when you run dosbox it starts up with a C: prompt? Yes?
If yes, don't repeat the C: mount line, that's a bit too much. You can only mount a C: once.
What you do now is:
You put your CD in the drive, and your inputs then are:
mount d e:\ -t cdrom
d:
install
Install, because in the list you posted after typing 'dir' there is no setup, seems you have a different CD then usual..... maybe because it's Danish? Don't know.
If you have a full and valid CD this should start the install routine for Rayman, follow the previous posted instructions, install the game on C:\rayman in dosbox. |

You're welcome.
Don't forget, once correctly installed things change a bit.
Still assuming your dosbox starts up with a C: prompt ready, your inputs are :
mount d e:\ -t cdrom
cd rayman
rayman
You launch the game from c:\rayman, after mounting your CD drive. |

Dunno, a fast search shows no 'huge' ones about this game.
Now yeah ..... if Rayman isn't mentioned in the title .......
Anyway, if it's really that old it probably won't be relevant anymore.
Lots of things changed with the latest dosbox releases.
*Just as you, Wally, I'm too lazy to search in dept ..... |

Hi,
As you can guess, I'm also having difficulty getting Rayman to run properly...
My basic info is that I'm running windows XP with dosbox 0.73
I've successfully mounted C:\OLDGAMES\ as a virtual c drive and G:\ (my cd drive) as a virtual d drive. I've run the install.exe file from the d drive and installed it in C:\OLDGAMES\RAYMAN. The problem is that when I run the game (either from the CD or the game folder) the sound stutters and the game hangs after about a second (before the menu can even load). These crashes make it so I have to force-quit and restart dosbox.
I've heard that running rayman in XP requires a non-standard config file, but I don't know what to change to make it work.
I've read through the posts I could find and I'm still at a loss and would appreciate any help. |

Ummmm, nope, runs fine here on a default dosbox config.
Would you care posting how you run the game? ALL your inputs when you start dosbox? |
