Im playing this great game on Dosbox 0.72 from ISO image but i cant hear sounds because i get the message: Single speed CDrom detected, sound and animations will be disabled! How can that be if my CD is not single speed (1X)??? Is there any way this can be fixed? Help

Details?
AKA:
OS?
Sysspecs?
All your mount lines?
How did you install the game?
How did you configured the game?
How did you configured the sound?
Etcetera....

BTW, that CD speed means nothing.

Details details details.
I can't guess what you did.
But I know for a fact that the game runs swell in dosbox 0.72.

I'm having this problem too. It is the sound in cinematics, not in the rest of the game.

Using: Dosbox 0.72, Windows XP

I made an ISO of my "Fade to Black" CD, mounted with Daemon Tools.
Ran Dosbox.

Mounted the drive as 'D' with -t cdrom

Installed the game to 'C'

Ran 'f2b.bat'

Got this message:

Code:

WARNING : Single speed CDROM detected, sound will be desactivated in cinematics

Do you want to continue anyway? (Y,N)

Any ideas? (Yes, 'deactivated' was misspelled)

Yes.
Run the game with f2b -2 and your problem will disappear.
Happy

BTW, you better don't use daemon tools with an ISO.
Use imgmount to mount the ISO as D: directly in dosbox.
Read the stickies.
