..... a game dev is obliged to include the pirate patch so that costumers can play the game they bought legally:

| Quote: | .........
In order to solve all the problems, the company used a No-CD crack - and indeed things were solved, the game is running fine, end of story. Apparently. Somebody from FileForums (a user named Twingo, to be more specific) found out that Ubisoft were in such a hurry to solve the problem that they "borrowed" the crack from cracking group Reloaded (the proof can be seen in the picture in the upper left corner). Reloaded, on the other hand, is an independent group that offers pirated software to users all over the world, thus hampering sales of PC games (or, at least that's what game developers keep telling us).

I really find it funny the way they were too lazy/unable to create their OWN No-CD crack... I mean, of all people they should know how their copy protection works
On the other hand, plenty of other game companies released patches to disable the CD requirement to play their games(Blizzard comes to mind), and never did they have to use something like !RELOADED!'s erm, software. |

| I Wonder if there's any way that reloaded could sue Ubisoft for software infringement... lol. |

| That is a wild idea to use someone elses cracking material and it's a big name using it. |

I dunno, maybe it's a step in the right direction... It could bring new light to the warez scene... possibly legit jobs to people who actually deserve them |
